In the heart of a bustling business family's estate, Sunshine Rhythm emerges as a testament to modernity infused with tradition. The design team at Chiun Ju Interior Design has masterfully orchestrated a space that speaks to the lineage of its owners while breaking new ground in interior aesthetics. The concept of 'heritage' meets 'breakthrough' in this project, creating a narrative of life's perpetual motion through the use of natural materials that invite comfort and elegance.

Distinctive in its approach, the design harmonizes classic and contemporary elements. By simplifying intricate carvings and opting for symmetrical aesthetics, the space's grandeur is amplified, especially with its soaring 4.2-meter-high ceilings. Gold panels and metallic accents delineate distinct areas, adding depth and luxury, while copper lines traverse ceilings and floors, mirroring the symmetry above and below.

The choice of materials—copper metal trim, marble, wood veneer, and ironwork—complement the bold black and white color scheme. This daring palette, enriched by gold lines, delivers a visual impact that sets Sunshine Rhythm apart from conventional shared spaces. The design's visual and spatial impact is further enhanced by the building's impressive height, offering a memorable first impression.

Spanning 595 square meters, Sunshine Rhythm accommodates a variety of communal functions, including a reception, guest area, children's play zone, gym, reading nook, cooking classroom, and café. The L-shaped layout, dictated by the building's structural elements, is ingeniously managed with transparent partitions that foster a sense of openness without sacrificing privacy.

The design facilitates interaction among community residents, offering dedicated spaces for fitness, culinary arts, and leisure. Semi-transparent designs allow for a seamless flow of natural materials throughout the space, ensuring each area retains its unique character while contributing to the collective ambiance. The interplay of solid and void within the partitions ensures privacy while maintaining a spacious environment.

Despite challenges such as labor and material shortages during the pandemic, the design team navigated these obstacles with strategic planning and adjustments. The symmetrical design intention was preserved despite the asymmetrical site, achieving a harmonious balance. The playful, beehive-inspired children's area and the serene reading space reflect the project's commitment to embodying the essence of natural life and the passage of time.

Chiun Ju Interior Design's Sunshine Rhythm is not only a space but a narrative of life's rhythm, earning it the Bronze A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2024.
